Craniosacral Therapy

What is Craniosacral Therapy (CST)?
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle touch therapy.
It supports and enhances overall health in the body, offering a space for the body to be held and listened to and for areas of tension or contraction in the body to be met and released. The therapy works with the body as a whole and can address physical, emotional, and psychological issues.
After sessions clients have reported feeling an increased sense of relaxation, a reduction in pain and more of a general sense of overall wellbeing.
The roots of the therapy arise from Osteopathic Medicine which has its roots intertwined with traditional Shawnee Indian bodywork. Craniosacral Therapy developed from the work of osteopath William Garner Sutherland in the early 1900s.
Craniosacral therapy is suitable for all ages from birth.
It’s a gentle touch therapy and sessions are conducted with clients fully clothed laying on a massage table. The choice of a blanket will be given and threre will be space for discussion during the session.
Craniosacral therapy can help to bring about an overall sense of wellness in the body over time so it may help with a variety of different physical and psycho-emotional symptoms. I’ve included some of these below but if you would like to chat about something you are experiencing and whether craniosacral therapy may help please do get in touch.
